Gene Ferrall Sullivan, (USN Ret.), 82, a resident of Metairie and native of Magee, MS, died on September 5, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Anne Tell Sullivan, daughter, Toni Ellen Sullivan-Adams and husband Gary, his pride and joy, grandson, Nicholas Raymond Adams, Godchildren Jamie Marie Scuderi Jackler and husband Chris, Rianne Lavergne, husband Dustin and his favorite dog Jazz. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and is preceded in death by his parents. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Jackler, Nicholas Adams, Roy McDaniel, Donald Subervielle, Jeremy Bertucci, Evan Bertucci, and David Simon. He was a 1956 graduate of the US Naval Academy, Annapolis, attended flight school in Pensacola, FL, US Navy post graduate in Electrical Engineering at Monterey, CA, he was chief engineer on US Renshaw in Hawaii, on Admiral Staff in Long Beach, CA and Norfolk, VA, served during Lebanon Conflict and Vietnam. He retired as Assistant Plant Manager from New Orleans Public Service, Michoud, retired from Entergy as a Senior Engineer and then became an Engineer Consultant. He was an expert player in Sudoku and Chess. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc, Zachary on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm and on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 12 Noon until service time at 1:30 pm. Burial will be in Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary.
