Organization

The class constitution, which covers class governance, calls for an Executive Committee headed up by the Chairman to carry out the activities and provide leadership for the Class of 1956. Since our constitution does not  provide for a President, the Chairman in effect acts in that capacity to lead the class. The Company Representatives (Reps) serve as an arm or extension of the Executive Committee and the class in reaching out to classmates, wives and widows on class matters through the company level. Widows are integral to the class, whose participation and ideas are highly valued as members of the class organization, have a representative on the Executive Committee and are featured in our Shipmate column.
