John Joseph Egan, (20) , passed away November 24. Born in
Long Island City, New York, he is survived by wife, Eleanor; daughter and
son-in-law, Dana and Doug Sullenberger; son, John Egan, Jr.; daughter, Karen
Egan; grandchildren, Dylan, Jackson, Kate, and Douglas Sullenberger; sister,
Eileen Weiler; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Joan Egan; sister and
brother-in-law, Michelle and John McGrath; and sister-in-law and
brother-in-law, Janice and Raymond Pharo; and many nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents Julia and Joseph Egan. John
was a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and the American Institute
for Foreign Trade; served honorably as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps;
member St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, and had a career as an executive
recruiter. John was blessed to be a twenty-three year heart transplant survivor
and a forty-one year cancer survivor. Services will be held at St. Dunstan's
Episcopal Church, 14301 Stuebner Airline Road, Houston, Texas 77069 on Friday,
December 9 at 2:00 p.m. Those desiring may send donations to St. Dunstan's
